Worship and Truth
Revelation 4 Holy, Holy, Holy
John 4 we worship on that mountain
Psalm 8
Mark 4:1-11 Temptation of Jesus

Worship. It’s what we’re here for, right? Well, it’s what we’re here for on Sunday morning from 10:30 or so to 11:45 am. Our worship is like that of many churches, it follows a pattern, we use the same types of words, and the same types of music. Sometimes it moves us, sometimes we endure it, sometimes we complain about it.
We talk about the same thing every week. We celebrate the same days every year. We tell the same stories. Why do we keep coming back to hear the same thing? What is there about this story that compels us to hear it, to tell it, to preserve it? How does out worship preserve the truth, and speak to the divine? When we maintain our worship of the divine, what truths are we preserving, and why?
