Table, Prayer, Sending
The things we do at the end of the service, or towards the end of the service are important, too. We gather at God’s table, we pray for ourselves, our neighbors, and our world, and we are sent out into the world. There’s some power in this grouping of things together – we are welcomed and fed – we are prayed for and we pray for, lifting joys, hopes, fears, doubts, wonder, and awe to God – and we are challenged, commissioned, equipped, blessed and sent out into the world to be the church.
