While Christmas can be a great time of celebration, it can also be a difficult time. There are financial strains, as families attempt to provide all of the material goods that they can for one another. There are emotional strains, as there are empty seats at the table, either from death, illness, or separation. There are theological strains, as it may be hard to profess faith in the light of loss, grief, anger, or stress. The problems of the other 364 days of the year do not vanish simply because the calendar tells us it is December the 25th.
We gather on the evening of December 21st at 7 pm, to acknowledge and walk into the darkness and pain that do not vanish in the season of Christmas. To learn more, read here.
