Due to the existing snow and ice, and the weather forecast for tomorrow that has the weather arriving mid-afternoon, we have decided to cancel the in person Ash Wednesday Service. Attached is the order of service, and I have made a brief video for you to use, if you’d like. There is also an Ash Wednesday service that the denomination has put together for you to use, if you’d like.
Our Ash Wednesday service is a quiet service of meditation and contemplation. It stands in contrast to many other services of worship, and invites us to repent and believe in the Gospel. We are invited to find a quiet space, and to make space for prayer and scripture reading, and to fortify ourselves spiritually for the journey of the Lenten season.
No time limit is set on this service – it is a time for us to prepare for the road ahead, by ourselves and with one another. This is a short video. Pause the service to take more time at any point.
