Luke 7:18-35 Tell John what you see and hear
Go and Tell
How are we to know who the Messiah is? We wonder that, and it appears that John wondered that as well. “Are you the one Or are we still to wait?” John knows the Messiah is coming, knows that he is sent to make a path for the Messiah, and he’s still unsure if this is it. Imagine the rest of them. So John sends a messenger to Jesus. Jesus tells the messenger(s) what’s been happening. The blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, lepers are cleansed, the dead are raised, the poor have good news broughtto them.
And then Jesus turns to the crowd. What did you come to see when you came to see John? What are people here to see? What are people like? Who has greeted John? Who has not? What does Jesus say about all of that?
