Matthew 13:24-43
Parables are Jesus’s way of telling us what we need to know. That doesn’t mean they are our way of hearing what we need to know. Here there are three parables and the disciples want to know the explanation. They ask after the crowds have left and Jesus has gone into the house. They don’t ask about the other parables.
So what do we take from these parables?
Small things transform what is intended. Small things transform into what is intended. Know when to weed and when to prune. Do not damage what you want getting rid of what you don’t.
