John 1:35-42, John 6:1-10, John 12:16-26
We will continue looking at threes and disciples for a couple of weeks. This week is Andrew. There is a pattern of his behavior in the Gospel of John, in which Andrew consistently helps guide people to Jesus. He doesn’t get a whole lot of attention, but appears and guides people to Jesus. He takes his brother, Peter, to see Jesus. He sees a boy with loaves and fish. Philip brings Greeks who want to see Jesus to Andrew, and then goes to Jesus.
What is it about Andrew that leads him to be this way? Why is it important to have someone who acts like this, or multiple someones? Who can you think of in your faith journey who has a history of introducing and connecting people to Jesus?
How does the witness of Andrew inform our witness? How can we today bring people to Jesus, and have it just be who we are?
